Wearing the Chunkigan feels like wrapping yourself in a soft, cozy cloud! The brioche stitch turned out to be surprisingly easy and so satisfying to knit! I love the intended full-length version, but it's definitely customizable; you can easily adjust it to suit your own personal style. I chose a mid-length version, and I’m in love with how it turned out.

It was hard to knit the Chunkigan in summer but I loved every single stitch. It was a kind of mindless but not boring at all. Looking forward for colder days to wear mine.

An ode to brioche!

The chunkigan is such a beautiful sweater! The brioche pattern adds an extra polished touch to an over sized, long cozy sweater - and the heavier yarn makes it a fairly quick knit. The pattern is clear, concise and easy to follow. This is the perfect sweater to cozy up in on cool fall days!

The Chunkigan was such a well written and "potato-chippy" pattern. It was fun to get lost in the endless brioche and the finished product feels like something I would find in a high end shop. Was overall such a pleasure to knit and I highly suggest you cast one on for yourself!

Knitting brioche flat puts me in the flow, I could knit again and again

I had only done one brioche project before this garment, and this was my first time working with unspun yarn - so I can confidently say that this is a very achievable pattern even if you're new to the techniques. Neither brioche nor unspun is scary! The pattern is very comprehensive, so although it's a long document it contains everything you need, laid out in a very logical way. It's a big garment so it's definitely a challenge, but it really pays off in the end.
I really enjoyed being part of this first test knit for Ulvenknit. The pattern is very well written and easy to follow. The yarn she suggested is a perfect match for this beautiful cardigan. I would be delighted to join another test knit again in the future.
