This is the original designer sample of the OAKWOOD RAGLAN—a one-of-a-kind design piece, handknit with care and intention. Once it’s gone, it’s truly gone.

Made in 100% Nutiden unspun wool and worn only briefly for photography, this unique sample was created for the release of the OAKWOOD RAGLAN pattern.

OAKWOOD RAGLAN is a raglan-style sweater with a classic, close-fitting silhouette and a striking all-over texture. The openwork cable pattern—worked entirely without a cable needle—alternates with ribbing, giving the fabric stretch, depth, and sculptural movement. Because of this, the sweater wears comfortably with either minimal ease or the recommended positive ease, depending on your fit preference.

The cable texture evokes the bark and twisted branches of an ancient oak, lending the garment a timeless, grounded, and earthy feel. It’s rustic yet elegant—perfect to dress up and layer under a classic woolen coat, or to wear on its own for outdoor adventures.

Please note:
This is a handmade piece created for design and photography purposes. It is not factory-made. Small variations and minor imperfections are part of the charm and individuality of handknits, especially when worked in natural yarns.

*This item comes from a non-smoking home with dogs. While great care is taken to prevent husky floof from tagging along, please be aware that the occasional fiber may remain.

This is the original sample of the OAKWOOD RAGLAN, and is best suited for sizes XS to S, depending on your preferred fit. The sweater is designed to be worn with 6 to 16 cm (2.25 to 6.25 in) of positive ease (garment bust circumference minus your full bust measurement). Due to the ribbed pattern between the cables, the fabric has natural stretch, making the sweater comfortable with less ease for a body-hugging fit, or with more ease for a relaxed silhouette. It could even be worn with zero or slight negative ease, but for best results, a minimum of 6 cm (2.25 in) of positive ease is recommended.

The garment has a bust circumference of 90 cm (35.5 in) and is intended to fit a full bust of around 74 to 84 cm (29 to 33 in). The body length from underarm to hem is 35 cm (13.75 in). The upper arm circumference is 28 cm (11 in). The sleeve length from underarm to cuff is 54 cm (21.25 in), and the front yoke depth is 15 cm (6 in).

Graded for women’s sizing, but thanks to its sculptural texture, ribbed stretch, and minimal shaping, this piece wears beautifully as a gender-neutral garment for anyone who enjoys a close-to-the-body or subtly relaxed fit with a clean silhouette and classic feel.

100% Swedish Wool

What Makes This Yarn So Special:

There’s a reason I keep coming back to Nutiden. Not only is it a joy to knit with—it’s one of the most unique fibres to wear. I truly believe I’d have frozen through many winters—especially indoors—if it weren’t for this yarn. And if you’re not a knitter yourself, wearing Nutiden is its own kind of warmth—softer, deeper, and more connected.

🐑 Nutiden is a small-batch, unspun yarn made by Höner och Eir—a tiny Swedish mill run by Caroline and Knut. Every plate is made with 100% Swedish wool, gently washed to retain some natural lanolin for softness and warmth. No chemicals or spin oil are used—making the yarn pure, skin-friendly, and close to nature.

Caroline, highly sensitive to treated fibres, created Nutiden out of necessity. It’s hand-dyed outdoors over open fire using only certified pigments, salt, vinegar, and water. Even their moth protection is natural: incense and essential oils like lavender and cedarwood.

Each batch is a limited edition, with unique blends, thicknesses, and textures. Crafted on vintage carding machines named Hera, Karma, and Kata, every plate carries a story—woven from land, care, and slow production.
