This is the original designer sample of the HERITAGE SWEATER—a one-of-a-kind design piece, handknit with care and intention. Once it’s gone, it’s truly gone.

HERITAGE SWEATER is a timeless, oversized raglan pullover with a deep yoke, extra-long sleeves, and a boyfriend-style silhouette designed for comfort and effortless wear. The sweater features an all-over two-colour stranded motif—classic and striking—evocative of traditional Norwegian knitwear.

Originally inspired by the comforting familiarity of vintage menswear, HERITAGE carries that “borrowed from him” feeling—like slipping into your boyfriend’s or dad’s favourite old wool sweater. The colourwork adds both visual texture and cosy weight, and though it looks intricate, it’s worked with just two colours at a time for a clean, wearable finish.

This is the 2025 revamped edition: a one-of-a-kind sample knit in an earlier iteration of Nutiden unspun yarn by Höner och Eir, a family-owned Swedish yarn producer specialising in natural, unspun fibre. Due to the particular blend and the naturally uneven texture of the yarn, this piece has a soft yet rustic feel, full of character. Unspun yarn offers an incredible warmth-to-weight ratio, so despite the all-over colourwork, the sweater is light as a cloud.

With its cosy proportions, deep yoke, and softly draped silhouette, this sweater is made to be lived in—on slow weekends, mountain getaways, or anytime you want to wrap yourself in the softest of wools. It doesn't get closer to nature than this.

Please note:
This is a handmade piece created for design and photography purposes. It is not factory-made. Small variations and minor imperfections are part of the charm and individuality of handknits, especially when worked in natural yarns.

*This item comes from a non-smoking home with dogs. While great care is taken to prevent husky floof from tagging along, please be aware that the occasional fiber may remain.

This is the original sample of the HERITAGE SWEATER and is best suited for sizes S to M, depending on your preferred fit. The sweater is designed to be worn with 14 to 24 cm (5.5 to 9.5 in) of positive ease (garment bust circumference minus your full bust measurement), for a slouchy, relaxed silhouette with generous proportions and longer sleeves and body.

The sample in the photos is worn with 22 cm/ 8.75 in positive ease.

The garment has a bust circumference of 104 cm (41 in) and is intended to fit a full bust of around 80 to 90 cm (31.5 to 35.5 in). The body length from underarm to hem is 41 cm (16.25 in). The upper arm circumference is 36 cm (14.25 in). The sleeve length from underarm to cuff is 54 cm (21.25 in), and the front yoke depth is 20 cm (7.75 in).

Graded for women’s sizing, but with its deeper yoke, roomy upper arms, and longer sleeves and body, this piece wears beautifully as a gender-neutral garment for anyone who enjoys an oversized fit with lots of cosy drape.

What Makes This Yarn So Special:

There’s a reason I keep coming back to Nutiden. Not only is it a joy to knit with—it’s one of the most unique fibres to wear. I truly believe I’d have frozen through many winters—especially indoors—if it weren’t for this yarn. And if you’re not a knitter yourself, wearing Nutiden is its own kind of warmth—softer, deeper, and more connected.

🐑 Nutiden is a small-batch, unspun yarn made by Höner och Eir—a tiny Swedish mill run by Caroline and Knut. Every plate is made with 100% Swedish wool, gently washed to retain some natural lanolin for softness and warmth. No chemicals or spin oil are used—making the yarn pure, skin-friendly, and close to nature.

Caroline, highly sensitive to treated fibres, created Nutiden out of necessity. It’s hand-dyed outdoors over open fire using only certified pigments, salt, vinegar, and water. Even their moth protection is natural: incense and essential oils like lavender and cedarwood.

Each batch is a limited edition, with unique blends, thicknesses, and textures. Crafted on vintage carding machines named Hera, Karma, and Kata, every plate carries a story—woven from land, care, and slow production.
