Fjelltur Sweater – Size S/M – Marketing Sample

The Fjelltur Sweater designer sample is the original handknit piece — worn only for photography and available as a one-of-a-kind garment. Knitted in bulky Icelandic wool following the classic Lopapeysa construction, this is a cold-weather-ready pullover built for warmth, durability, and outdoor performance. The name fjelltur — Norwegian for mountain tour — captures the spirit of the design: a rugged, generously sized sweater made for layering and the elements.

The sweater features extra-long sleeves with a subtle colourwork motif near the cuffs, a twisted rib hem with a practical split, and an extended body for full coverage at the hips and lower back. The roomy neckline comfortably accommodates a close-fitting cowl or neck warmer underneath. Natural Icelandic wool is inherently weather-resistant, making this suitable as both an insulating mid-layer and a standalone outer piece in wintery conditions. Size S/M.

Modern back-length shaping updates the classic Lopapeysa construction for a more fitted, comfortable result. This sample is in like-new condition with no signs of daily wear, and comes from a non-smoking home.

This is the original sample of the FJELLTUR SWEATER and is best suited for sizes S to M, depending on your preferred fit. The sweater is designed to be worn with 15 to 25 cm (6 to 10 in) of positive ease, creating a warm, relaxed silhouette ideal for layering.

The sample in the photos is worn with 24 cm/ 9.5 in positive ease.

The garment has a bust circumference of 104 cm (41 in) and is intended to fit a full bust of around 79 to 89 cm (31 to 35 in). The body length from underarm to hem is 47 cm (18.5 in), upper sleeve circumference is 42 cm (16.5 in), sleeve length from underarm to cuff is 54 cm (21.25 in), and front yoke depth is 21 cm (8.25 in).

Graded for women’s sizing, but thanks to the deep yoke, roomy upper arms, and generous sleeve and body length, this piece works beautifully as a unisex sweater.

Knit in Álafoss Lopi, a durable Icelandic yarn known for its warmth, resilience, and weather-resistant properties, this sweater is made for outdoor living—whether you’re hiking in the cold or layering up for a winter walk in the city.
