Colourshift Tee

The Colourshift Tee is a lightweight, soft knitted top with a classic raglan silhouette and a playful colour-block stripe pattern. Worked from the top down in DK weight yarn, the design begins in a main colour before gradually transitioning into a contrast colour through the raglan shaping — a simple but effective technique that creates either a subtle tonal shift or a bold, eye-catching graphic depending on the colours chosen.

The construction is clean and accessible, making this a good project for beginner and intermediate knitters comfortable with top-down seamless construction. The striped colourwork requires no chart-reading and no carrying of floats — the colour change follows the natural geometry of the raglan shaping, keeping the knitting straightforward and the results visually satisfying.

The Colourshift Tee is well suited to experimenting with stash yarn combinations, and its relaxed, boxy silhouette makes it a versatile layering piece. It works particularly well in two complementary DK weight yarns with good stitch definition, allowing the colour transition to read clearly across the finished garment.

The pattern includes 10 sizes, with a finished chest circumference of:

  • 82 (88) 96 (102) 110 (120) 128 (136) 146 (154) cm.

For an optimal fit, please choose a size that is 0-10 cm larger than your actual chest circumference.

Comprehensive measurements are included in the knitting pattern.
