Manchelopi is a soft, squishy unspun yarn made from 100% Manchega wool, sourced from a small Spanish family company that puts a lot of heart into their work. It has a dreamy texture with plenty of squish and bounce — and the plates really do look like little cheese wheels — which makes it a rare and special treat to knit with.

Originally, I got these gorgeous shades for my Karo Sweater design… but I overshot by far and ended up using less than a plate of each. 

As for thickness, it depends on how you work it. If you knit with the two strands held together — which is the more beginner-friendly option and easier, since Manchelopi plates already come double-stranded — you're looking at roughly 230 m / 100 g (DK weight). But if you're confident enough to go with a single strand, you’ll get around 460 m / 100 g (Fingering weight).
