Tåkesti — from the Norwegian for fog trail — is a large, triangular everyday shawl designed by Ulven Knit for Nutiden unspun yarn from Höner och Eir. Worked holding two strands together, the resulting fabric is dense, warm, and remarkably soft, with a slip-stitch detail that gives the surface a quiet, almost woven texture. The shawl is worked sideways, beginning at the tip of one wing and building outward through a simple pattern of knit and slip stitches.
