This is the original designer sample of the FJELLTUR SWEATER—a one-of-a-kind design piece, handknit with care and intention. Once it’s gone, it’s truly gone.

FJELLTUR is the original design—a rugged, cold-weather-ready version of its minimalist sibling, Fjelltur Lite. Knit in bulky Icelandic wool, it’s a true outdoor beast, built for warmth, durability, and elemental protection. The name fjelltur (Norwegian for mountain tour) captures the spirit of this sweater—one made for the great outdoors.

Unlike its lighter successor, this version is generously sized, making it perfect for layering over base layers and thinner midlayers, or wearing under a roomy shell as an insulating piece. Thanks to the natural weather-resistant properties of Icelandic wool, it also performs beautifully as a standalone top layer in winter and snowy conditions.

The extra-long sleeves are adorned with a subtle colourwork motif near the cuffs, designed to keep your hands warm or fold up when you need freedom of movement. The body also features the same colourwork motif before flowing into a beautifully worked twisted rib hem with a split, making the piece more comfortable to wear, especially over outdoor pants. The extended body length adds coverage, keeping your lower back and hips warm whether you’re out on a windy ridge or just walking the dog in biting cold. The roomy neckline ensures comfort and makes space for layering a close-fitting neck warmer or balaclava-style cowl underneath.

Classic Lopapeysa construction, with modern subtle shaping to add length to the back—and a whole lot of heart.

Condition:
This item is in like-new condition and was worn only briefly for photography and video purposes. It has not been worn in daily life and shows no signs of wear.

*This item comes from a non-smoking home with dogs. While great care is taken to prevent husky floof from tagging along, please be aware that the occasional fiber may remain.

This is the original sample of the FJELLTUR SWEATER and is best suited for sizes S to M, depending on your preferred fit. The sweater is designed to be worn with 15 to 25 cm (6 to 10 in) of positive ease, creating a warm, relaxed silhouette ideal for layering.

The sample in the photos is worn with 24 cm/ 9.5 in positive ease.

The garment has a bust circumference of 104 cm (41 in) and is intended to fit a full bust of around 79 to 89 cm (31 to 35 in). The body length from underarm to hem is 47 cm (18.5 in), upper sleeve circumference is 42 cm (16.5 in), sleeve length from underarm to cuff is 54 cm (21.25 in), and front yoke depth is 21 cm (8.25 in).

Graded for women’s sizing, but thanks to the deep yoke, roomy upper arms, and generous sleeve and body length, this piece works beautifully as a unisex sweater.
