Álafosslopi is the classic bulky weight yarn from Ístex, spun from 100% Icelandic wool and designed for the demanding conditions of Nordic winters. Its natural weather resistance, insulating warmth, and unmistakable rustic character make it the defining yarn for traditional stranded colourwork sweaters, lopapeysa designs, and outdoor knitwear. Worked on 5.5–6.5 mm needles, 100 g yields approximately 100 metres. As a natural product, individual skeins vary between approximately 99 and 112 g — this is normal and consistent across the yarn range.

These skeins are new and unused, stored since purchase and still carrying their original labels. The labels show the colour name and lot number (visible by clicking through the colour variants). Some labels may show slight yellowing from storage, and occasional minor creases may be present — the yarn itself remains in excellent condition. Most of this stock dates from 2021–2022.
